Marcon Website

Marcon is one of British Columbia's most trusted names in construction and development. We redesigned their entire site with large immersive images and videos, highlighting Marcon's beautiful homes.

THE CHALLENGE

Marcon’s website had a templated feel that didn’t match the beautiful design of their developments. In Vancouver’s competitive development market, we needed to find a way to help Marcon stand out from its competitors with a unique interactive experience.

THE USP

We determined that one of the main issues customers have after buying a pre-built home is a lack of updates from the developer. We proposed more detailed project pages that were constantly updated by the construction crew, giving customers a way to check in on their new homes whenever they wanted to.

INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE

Based on site analytics, I simplified the main navigation structure to feature the items that users were looking for. Secondary items were moved to the footer navigation.

UX Exploration

I explored various UX patterns including a unique horizontal scrolling homepage, and sticky sidebar navigations on the project listing pages.

UI DESIGN

The final design included large images and videos that helped Marcon feature their homes and the people that live in them. Large typography, simple graphics and clear icons complimented the brand and the architecture of the homes themselves.
